How long have you been walking backwards, leading campus tours??

Since winter 2017

Major: Managerial Economics

Minors: Professional Writing, and Technology Management, and Global and International Studies (wow!)

What is your favorite thing about UC Davis?

Everyone says it, but it's definitely all the communities and people that I am able to interact with on a daily basis. I have been able to meet some of the best people ever and created life-long friendships with a diverse group of people from all over the world.

How did you get involved on campus?

As much as I would like to get to know the entire UC Davis community, I think it's important to get involved in smaller communities that you feel passionate about. For me, I tried out and joined a number of different student organizations my freshman year to see what I liked best and where I felt I fit in. I ended up being involved with the Economics and Business Student Association, the Western Equestrian Team, Ski and Snowboard Team, and tour guides of course! It's great to be able to connect with people that have similar interests as you.?

What do you like to do in college town Davis?

I love being able to explore the parks and green spaces that the town of Davis offers! One of my favorite things to do is grab my hammock and a book to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. I also love the Little Libraries all over town where you can trade books with various community members. Davis is a very unique place where you really feel like you are part of the greater community.?

What’s your favorite campus tour stop (when in-person tours are possible)??

The Student Community Center. It allows our guests to see all the wonderful resource centers we have access to as students. And it gives me time to interact more personally with the guests on my tour.

What was the most surprising thing you discovered?

I was surprised at how diverse the student community really is. I have been able to meet people from such a wide variety of backgrounds and learned so much from people with different perspectives.
